THE GREAT HALL COLOURS

In the 1970s the well-known interior designer, John Fowler, devised a very subtle decorative scheme for the entrance hall of a country house near London.  After thirty years the room was looking a bit tired.  We were asked to measure the existing colours so that it might be repainted.  However, plans were changed and a different scheme adopted.  This is the palette of colours used by Fowler.
